Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is applicable to the Quit Smoking app (hereinafter referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices, which was developed by Carlos Colado Molina (WebAppDev) (hereinafter referred to as “Service Provider”) as an Ad Supported service with an optional subscription. This service is provided “AS IS”.
What information does the Application store on your device?
What you tell the Application (what you smoke, how much, its price, how long you smoked, the date you quit, your reasons and your rewards), your relapses and cravings, your daily check-ins and any AI content generated for you are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to any account and the Service Provider cannot see them, with the sole exception of the data you choose to send when you use the AI features described below. Uninstalling the Application deletes all of it.
Does the Application use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies?
Yes, as optional features: “My AI Plan” creates a personalised plan to quit smoking (or to stay smoke-free) from a short questionnaire; the “Daily check-in” can add a short comment about your day; and the SOS screen can give you immediate help during a craving. The rest of the Application works without them, and nothing is sent unless you explicitly request one of these features (for example by tapping “Create my plan”, “Save and get a comment” or “Help me now”).
What is sent: your questionnaire answers (as fixed option codes), any free text you choose to write, your first name and an approximate age range if you choose to give them, the reasons to quit you chose or wrote when you set up the Application, and the figures the Application already calculates (type of tobacco, units per day, years smoking, days smoke-free, longest smoke-free run, relapses and cravings logged and the time of day at which they tend to happen, money saved and currency). For the daily check-in, it also sends whether you smoked and how much, how many strong temptations you had, how strong the craving was, your anxiety and mood scores, the situations you mark, your note, your previous check-ins (up to the last 30, without their notes) and a numerical summary of the older ones; for the SOS help, the strength of the craving, the situations you mark, your note and your progress figures. So that a new answer is consistent with your plan and does not repeat itself, the Application also sends back content the AI already generated for you: the main points of your plan and your most recent AI messages. The local time and day of the week of your device and its language are sent so that the answer fits the moment and comes in your language. The comments you write on your relapses are not sent. No account, email, phone number, device identifier or advertising identifier is sent.
Who processes it: the Service Provider’s server builds the request and forwards it to the OpenAI API to generate the answer, which is returned to the Application and stored on your device. OpenAI processes this data as a service provider under its API data usage policies and, according to those policies, does not use data sent through the API to train its models. What we may keep, and for how long: for product improvement and quality assurance, in particular to verify that the AI is producing appropriate and useful answers, the Service Provider may store the coded questionnaire answers, the figures listed above (including your check-in scores and the situations you marked, as fixed codes) and the plan or message generated by the AI for up to one (1) year from its generation. After that period the records are deleted or reduced to aggregated statistics. These records do not contain your name (it is removed from the generated content before it is stored), your age range, your free text, your notes, the reasons you chose or wrote, the previously generated content that the Application sends back, or any device or advertising identifier, so they cannot be linked to you. They are not published, not shared with other users and not used for advertising or profiling.
What we do not keep: your name, your age range, your reasons, anything you type in the free-text fields or notes, and the previously generated content sent back by the Application are used only to generate that answer and are not stored by the Service Provider.
Free text: writing in the free-text fields is voluntary and the AI features do not need it. Please do not include personal data about other people, nor contact details or identifying information about yourself. The Service Provider may filter, shorten or disregard free text to prevent misuse of the AI features. The plans and messages you receive are general wellbeing guidance generated by an AI and are not medical advice (see the Terms of Use below).
What information does the Application collect automatically?
The Application and the third-party services it relies on may collect certain anonymous information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile operating system, the IP address of your device, crash and diagnostic information, and information about the way you use the Application. The Application also downloads general content (health milestones, quotes, reward ideas) from the Service Provider’s server; that request only includes your device language, your currency code and a content version number.
Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?
This Application does not collect precise real time location information of your device. The advertising provider (Google AdMob) may process your approximate (coarse) location, derived for example from your IP address, solely to serve and measure advertising, in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Advertising, consent and subscriptions
The Application shows advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), a consent message is shown before any personalised advertising is served; you can choose non-personalised ads instead, change your choice later from the Application’s settings (“Privacy settings”), or remove advertising with the optional premium subscription. The AI features are available to all users; for users without the subscription, a short rewarded advertisement may be shown before an AI request is made (how often is decided by the Service Provider). Subscribers use the AI features without advertising. The subscription is sold and processed by Google Play under its own terms: the Service Provider does not receive or store your payment details; Google Play only informs the Application whether a subscription is active.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
No personal or health data is shared with third parties, other than the AI data sent to OpenAI as described above. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service.

- with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. You can also delete any daily check-in from within the Application at any time, and “Start from scratch” erases your AI plan and your check-ins together with the rest of your data.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
The AI records described above (coded answers, figures and generated content, without identifiers) are retained for up to one (1) year. The Service Provider will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. If you would like to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability under the GDPR, please contact the Service Provider at mejortarots@gmail.com and we will respond in a reasonable time; you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
Security
The Service Provider are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Data sent for the AI features travels encrypted (HTTPS) and is kept without identifiers. For the information we process and maintain, the Service Provider provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent
By using the Application, you are giving your consent to the Service Provider processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information.

Welcome to Quit Smoking (the “Application”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and Carlos Colado Molina (WebAppDev) (“Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) concerning your access to and use of the Application.
By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Application and must discontinue use immediately.
1. Description of Service & Eligibility
Quit Smoking is a self-help and motivation mobile application that counts the time since your last cigarette, estimates the money saved and cigarettes avoided, shows general health milestones and achievements, lets you record relapses and cravings, keep a daily check-in and use tools for difficult moments (SOS). As optional features, it generates a personalised quitting plan, a comment on your daily check-in and immediate help during a craving with artificial intelligence using OpenAI API technologies (“AI features”).
Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Application. If the law of your country requires a higher minimum age to consent to the processing of personal data, you must meet that age or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
No Registration: The Application does not require, nor does it allow, the creation of user profiles, logins, or registered accounts.
2. Health Disclaimer
The Application is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological or pharmacological advice, diagnosis or treatment. All content, including counters, estimates, health milestones, quotes and AI-generated plans and messages, is provided for informational and motivational purposes only. The figures shown are estimates based on averages and published studies, not measurements of your own health. Always seek the advice of a physician or other qualified health professional with any question about quitting smoking, nicotine replacement products, medication or any symptom you experience, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read in the Application. You assume full responsibility for any decision or action you take based on the Application.
3. AI Features & Fair Use
The AI features (the quitting plan, the daily check-in comment and the SOS help) are optional and are generated by an artificial intelligence model from the data you provide. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, generic or inconsistent, is not reviewed by a health professional, and is never a substitute for consulting a qualified professional.
Because each request has a real cost to the Service Provider, who pays a third-party provider for each one, the AI features are subject to reasonable usage limits intended solely to prevent abuse and keep the service available for everyone, and, for users without the subscription, may require watching a short rewarded advertisement before the request is made. The Service Provider may limit, suspend, or restrict AI usage for a device that exceeds these limits or shows abusive or automated behaviour.
The AI features depend on third-party services outside the Service Provider’s control and are not guaranteed to be available at all times: they may suffer outages, delays, or errors at any moment. The Service Provider does not guarantee that the AI features will remain available for any specific period of time or indefinitely, including for subscribers, and may modify, limit, or discontinue them, temporarily or permanently, at any time and without prior notice. The unavailability of the AI features does not entitle you to any refund or compensation.
3.1 Text You Write: the free-text fields, notes, the reasons you write, your name and your age range are optional: the AI features work without them. Anything you type is submitted voluntarily and at your own initiative. Do not include personal data about other people, nor contact details or identifying information about yourself. The Service Provider does not request, require, or verify any such information, and may filter, shorten, or disregard any text, in whole or in part, in order to prevent misuse of the AI features or to enforce these Terms. Your coded answers, the figures and the generated content may be kept for up to one year for quality purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions
The Application may offer optional auto-renewing subscriptions. Their purpose and main benefit is the removal of advertisements (including the rewarded advertisements shown before AI requests); they also support the continued development of the Application. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends; you can manage or cancel them at any time from your Google Play account, and cancelling keeps the already-paid period active until it ends. Purchases are processed by Google Play under its own terms, and any refund request is governed by the Google Play refund policy. The Service Provider does not process payments or store payment information. The AI features are offered to all users under Section 3 and are not the object of the subscription; their modification, limitation, or discontinuation does not affect the removal of advertisements, which remains in force.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Application to:
- Use automated scripts, bots, emulators, or scrapers to request AI content, extract data, or overload the Service Provider’s servers or paid API endpoints.
- Attempt to bypass advertisements, usage limits, or the subscription.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Application or its communication with the Service Provider’s servers.
- Submit text that promotes violence, discrimination, illegal activities, or severe profanity, or that contains other people’s personal data, where the Application allows free-text input.
6. Intellectual Property
The Application, including its source code, artwork, illustrations, graphics, texts, UI design, and trademarks, is the exclusive property of Carlos Colado Molina (WebAppDev). You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Application on your personal device for non-commercial purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Application is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty that it will help you quit smoking or achieve any health outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Application, including health outcomes, decisions taken on the basis of its content, server downtime, advertising failures, or third-party API failures.
8. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Effective Date” of these Terms. Your continued use of the Application after the date such revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Application are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
